East

Had lunch with one of the elders from our church a week or so ago. One of the things he and I talked about was prayer posture. I integrated this into my routine after he and I talked, but I’m taking a few minutes after the kids leave for school, facing the east and staring at the sunrise and consecrating my day to the Lord. When Jesus returns, he comes from the east, and this is a simple orientation of my heart to let go of my agenda for the day and point myself towards him physically as a way of seeking his face for his purposes for the day instead of my own. Maranatha.
